I’m just a few weeks out from the wedding. I’m crazy excited, but I’m also crazy stressed. There are a whole bunch of little things (and 1 or 2 big things) waiting to be done. I’m trying not to fret too much, because I know I can get them done, but just the thought that they are there is a little unnerving. I makes me feel like I’m River Tam hiding in the loot hold waiting for Shepherd to put away his hair. Even if I can’t see it, it will still be there… waiting.
To cope with this anxiety I normally do one of two things. I either shut down, which can be observed by the disarray of the house, or I knit like a fiend. This is the current status of most of my projects.
My temperature scarf has been ripped out and restarted. Moss stitch doesn’t make it easy to weave in ends, but I’m struggling through it. I am thoroughly enjoying all of the color changes, especially since I’m starting to get into the warmer months. This scarf so far only shows the highs of each day. I may add the lows at the end. Haven’t decided yet.
I had one large square of my hue shift afghan completed already, but I’ve been busy on the second one. Netflix and the afghan are best friends at this point.
My sock is coming along more slowly, but I’ve only really been knitting on it when I’m out and about. Its a little more complicated than my brain can fully handle at this point, but it seems to be making its way off the needles just fine. The pattern is Legolas by Claire Ellen. Its from her Fellowship of the Sock collection which I am bound and determined to knit every single one.
And here is an obligatory cat picture.
