I’ve been a rather lazy knitter recently. Lazy in the sense that I haven’t taken any pictures of my progress. Nor have I started anything new. Or really begun any of my crafting resolutions beyond having a pair of socks on the needles (still in cuff phase) and working on a WIP, my hue shift afghan.
The hue shift afghan has been an off and on project for me for about 3 years. I’m finally on the last quadrant, but alas no pictures today, because of the lazy. I love knowing that the large box of yarn is slowly withering away and a blanket is forming from its ashes.
Contrastingly, there is some sadness in the approach of the final stretch on this particular project. I’ve never felt sad with a pending completion. Normally I feel elated knowing I get to move onto something different. Mind you, I still need to finish the quadrant I’m on and then pick up for the border, but I’m beginning to see the end of this project on the horizon.
Maybe I’m being lazy so that I don’t have to come to the end of this project. I don’t want it to end.
(I wonder how mad Alex would get if I bought another hue shift afghan kit.)
